Studiomade terms & conditions

the cancellation policy

that is unbendable

If you are not able to attend a class due to illness or for other personal reasons StudioMade cannot supply a  partial or full refund. This is in line with all Victorian pottery studios.

StudioMade - in line with other pottery schools in Victoria, does not offer make-up classes or refunds for change of mind/ illness or unforeseeable reasons requiring cancellation of bookings.

PRIVATE BOOKINGS are an exception to re-scheduling only - ( small bookings up to 4 participants ) - and will incur a $30 cancellation and re-schedule  fee. No refund still applies.

All group classes - Cancellations made will forfeit the full fee, as your booking takes up a space for another student. You may seek a replacement to take your place for your booking date and time.

Once a course/ Term class has begun there are NO REFUNDS or TRANSFERS.

Class purchases cannot be transferred to another day, time or term.

Term classes - If you are unable to attend a class you are given the opportunity to attend one SAC per term free of charge.

A minimum number of participants are required to run courses, taster classes and workshops.

StudioMade reserves the right to cancel a class if the minimum number of bookings are not reached.

You will be notified at least one week prior to the class if cancellation is deemed necessary and a full refund option will be provided - or you are welcome to transfer to another class.

Once the transfer booking has been confirmed - the above cancellation policy applies.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances - StudioMade may cancel a class  at much shorter notice.  A full refund or option to transfer the class will be provided.

GIFT VOUCHERS - taster classes, work shops and term classes.

If you are buying a course or workshop as a gift please alert the recipient to the Terms & Conditions.

Taster classes and workshops are not transferable to another time or date.

Check personal emails - (obtained by Studiomade when the booking is made) for courtesty taster class reminders - generally the week of the class schedule. StudioMade does not remain responsible for students not receiving a reminder.

Fees include access to clay, house glazes, tools and equipment.

Firing is charged per firing schedule - we suggest participants are judicial in choosing what work to fire, glaze and keep.

Work will take approximately 2-3 weeks to fire, paticipants have up to a month to collect their work. Notification is via SMS - ensure the phone number supplied at time of booking is correct - or update it with the class tutor on the day of class.

We suggest you contact us if you haven't received a collection SMS notification.

Uncollected work will be donated to a local charity.

Please Bring: An apron and towel to your class.

Clothing: All course and workshops are hands on, please wear appropriate clothing (that you are prepared to get dirty!) and covered shoes are essential.

Firing of work: We take extreme care with your work but accidents do happen and we are unable to guarantee that all your work will be successfully fired.

**Gift vouchers - firing and glazing may not be included in your voucher - this is price dependent on the class you are booking.  All vouchers include a  $10 administration fee.

  • StudioMade is not liable for any loss or damage to participant’s personal property.
  • Places on courses are allocated on a first to pay first served basis and we cannot guarantee your place on a course prior to receipt of full payment.
  • StudioMade will be entitled to change the timing and/or content of any course and to substitute any teacher at any time.

add us to your diary & a note for current students

Once your enrolment - includes Taster classes/Specialist classes as well as term classes -  has been confirmed it is up to you to  arrive at your scheduled date and time.  StudioMade does not routinely send out email or text reminders.  StudioMade reserves the right to cancel classes at short notice - you will be offered a full refund or option to re-schedule your class.

Continuing students - re-enrolment - is not a given.  You need to re enrol for the following term / for the specialist workshops as per the instructions set out on the whiteboard in the studio - if you run late on this, you risk missing out on your chosen class.

a note on children under 16

  • StudioMade does not accept enrolments for children under 16 years - unless specified as a family/childrens class.
